The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. They share a camera system with the new variable-aperture 48MP main sensor and a dedicated telephoto lens. The iPhone Duo skips the telephoto, so zoomed shots rely on cropping the main sensor. If you travel and photograph landscapes, wildlife or city details from a distance, the Pro models are the clear choice.
Which has the best battery life?
The iPhone 18 Pro Max. Apple says it has the largest battery-life increase in iPhone history, and early reviewers reported close to two days of use. The Duo has two screens to power; how long it lasts in daily use will depend heavily on how much time you spend with it unfolded, and full independent battery tests were not yet available when we published.
Which is best for work and reading?
The iPhone Duo. Its 7.6-inch inner display has a squarer, iPad-like shape, and early hands-on reports say iOS reflows apps properly to use the space. For reading, spreadsheets, maps and video calls, it replaces a small tablet. That matters if you are a digital nomad who wants to travel light.
Is the iPhone Duo durable enough?
Foldables are more delicate than slab phones: hinges and inner screens are more expensive to repair, and water and dust resistance ratings on foldables have historically been lower. Apple uses a titanium frame and a hinge made of more than 100 parts, but long-term durability will only be known after months of real-world use.
